2018 Webinar and Release of 4th National Climate Assessment

Public comments are open now through early 2018...

The National Climate Assessment (NCA) is a US government initiative that aims to make public the most recent research-backed data and predictions on the impacts of climate change in America. Research is sponsored by the U.S Global Change Research Program, whose mission is to generate knowledge around “human responses to climate and global change through coordinated and integrated Federal programs.” The program regularly publishes highlights and full reports depicting in-depth findings by geographic region and sector topics, among others.

Within each region, takeaways from a variety of perspectives such as people, infrastructure, agricultural and ecosystem impacts, and planning are explored.

Currently, the Fourth National Climate Assessment (NCA4) is underway and anticipated for completion in late 2018. As part of the development and revision process, NCA4 encourages public comments and critiques through a series of webinars, accessible here. The third and final webinar is Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 8:00 PM EST. Log on, join the conversation, and share your thoughts!
