Staff Sustainability Champions Program

Recognizing the unsung champions who make Cornell a sustainable campus and community...

Staff Sustainability Champions spotlights staff who exemplify Cornell University's commitment to sustainability, and have shown leadership and initiative to catalyze change for a more sustainable campus and planet with actions big and small. The program is a collaboration between the Employee Assembly and the Campus Sustainability Office. Nominees are featured in the Employee Assembly newsletter, on the Sustainable Campus blog and newsletter, and by the Career/Life Digest.

Who should be featured:
Any staff member, at any level of the University, can be recognized. Actions big and small matter. Do you know a coworker who always brings a reusable mug to every event? Did your boss recently pilot a new waste reduction method? Do you sit on a committee with someone who always incorporates a social justice framework into their work?

How to Nominate:
The nomination form is short! You may submit anonymously if you choose. All nominations will also be submitted for the annual Cornell University Partners in Sustainability Awards (CUPSA), which also has awards for faculty, students, groups, and community members.
